A hair relaxer is a lotion or cream that makes the hair easier to straighten and manage. This reduces the curl by breaking down the hair strand and chemically altering the texture or curl of the hair. Most clients who decide to get their hair relaxed have curly, wavy or frizzy hair who want it very straight without any more frizz or wave.

The results vary depending on your hair type, but usually a hair relaxer will leave your hair straight for about six to eight weeks after that a retouch is required.

This is done by using chemicals that help reshape the small sections of hair. The hair is then wrapped around desired perm rods to form and reshape itself to sit in a curly texture.

A texturiser is a chemical-based process that is a mild form of a relaxer. Also known as texture softener, that loosens your natural curl pattern and leaves your hair soft, wavy or curly. It can also be blow dried or set.

A silk press wrap is an upgraded version of a traditional press and curl. A silk press is also a modern day press and curl that gives natural hair the look like it has been relaxed. This allows your natural hair to be very straight, shiny, silky, soft, and most importantly it gives the hair a lot of body and movement. This service is for natural hair only as relaxed hair is already straight so there’s no need to have this service. A light serum can be used to add shine without weighing the hair down. We use only the high quality products from Avlon/Kera Care range and Design Essentials that is infused with tons of moisturisers, like liquid silk, already in the products.

Texture Release™ System is heat activated with amino acids and conditioning agents which go deep into the hair fibres to enable styling versatility. It allows the client to have optional textural change with increased combing manageability. This fantastic system was formulated for excessively curly hair, that needs moisture & conditioners with special attention to the scalp.
